A Look Back

Topher and I were talking not long ago about our most recent attempts at blogging and together we agreed that summer took it out of us. Although the desire to catch the world up on our life existed, the motivation to do the catching up was certainly nowhere to be found. Topher devised an ingenious plan...as he always does, and he decided to compile a pictorial montage of the past couple of weeks. Just a few days after camp was over, we hopped on an airplane and headed on down to KY to visit the gang.
The "gang" currently consists of 9 grandkids, 5 and under. Rebecca managed to capture 7 of the 9 in the above photo, 78% is not too shabby.
How does that saying go about quality versus quantity? Grandpa sure does manage to spread the love around to all the kiddos!
We returned home to some fabulous weather so we headed off to the park to find a nice bench to sit upon.
We spent some quality time with our new crew of year-round volunteers down at the pond. Dinner was Venison kabobs and veggie kabobs over the fire! Terrific!
Diane and Andrew's great grandma stopped in for an overnight visit. Great grandma and Andrew had a wonderful time walking barefoot after the rainfall.
Four generations gathered together. We had a wonderful visit, just soaking up life and telling stories.
Labor day weekend brought about 100 folks out to camp for Family camp. Camp was once again full of life and of course new toys for Andrew to try out. I think he is almost ready to loose the training wheels...well, ok not yet. Note the pink strap on the helmet. He found himself a little lady friend that allowed him to take the pony for a spin.
Fall is here, the Packer's gear has been donned and the tomatoes are ripe for the pickin'. We spent a bit of time tonight after dinner down at the garden taking in the beautiful, bountiful harvest. It has been a wonderful summer and wonderful start to fall. We look forward to more frequent updates once again. Thanks for checking in folks.
