We Built This!

Lyle Lovitt sings a great little ditty titled, "If I Had a Boat." It happens to be a favorite of ours and now the super cool thing about that song is that it is true. We do indeed have a boat and we will "go out on the ocean." We have learned much from this project and much of what we have gained has nothing to do with boat construction. It has been a marvelous way to spend our first months together as a married couple. Paddling it will no doubt be a grand adventure as well and I wish we could comment on that now, however, the day we finished the boat Ma Nature gave us -27 degree weather. Top that off with 40 below wind chill and you have a very unpleasant maden voyage. Patience is the name of the game so stay tuned for stories from the first float.
