Snowshoeing!!

Due to the work of the fabulous program director that we have out here at camp, (that would be my wonderful wife) camp now has fifteen pairs of Atlas snowshoes. We also owe a big thanks to my good buddy Cameron, and the good folks over there at Atlas. The volunteers have been busy implementing winter environmental stewardship retreats as a new addition to camps programs. There are a few schools out there willing to brave the mighty winter and check out all that winter in the woods has to offer.

Camp is a place sort of like Alaska, well maybe on a slightly smaller scale. I think that once a person experiences this place and all of God's wonder that is to be found here, it gets into the blood and shaking it is difficult at best. Nicole, a past camper and friend did what many old campers and friends do in the off season. She popped in for a visit and gave us an excuse to hit the trails. As you can see the snow was a bit sparce in a few areas but all in all it was a great day to be out with 'ol man winter. We even did a bit of "cross country" trail breaking which turned out to be the highlight of the trip. Last nights slumber was complimented by a bit more fresh stuff to that we say, Thank you God and keep it coming. We hope to be tied with Upstate New York soon.
