Room With a View

This fall we decided to move up from our 1st floor master bedroom to a room upstairs. Why? Well, up until then Andrew's crib had been in our room and we decided it was time for the little guy to have his own room and we just weren't ready for him to live upstairs all by himself. So, we made the move together. After a weekend of painting our soon-to-be new room from a bright tourquiose to a soft brown we made the move. It took a bit of getting used to. We enjoyed our master bath on the first floor but the upstairs bathroom is gigantic and we often all hang out in there while brushing our teeth or getting ready for bed. We refer to it as our upstairs kitchen - as the kitchen is generally a social place in our house. Now, the upstairs restroom is sometimes a social hangout. To put the size into perspective if you've never seen the upstairs bathroom - when we moved in we had the carpets cleaned and put all the furniture from the upstairs into the bathroom. That is a queen size mattress, box spring and frame, a twin mattress and frame, a futon, 2 dressers, a nightstand, a barber chair, a table, some more chairs, and random other boxes with room to spare. Well, as exciting as the upstairs kitchen is...my favorite part about living upstairs is the view. The top picture was taken looking out of Andrew's bedroom window. His changing table is right in front of the window and how can you not enjoying changing poopy diapers while gazing out at the sun glistening on the snowy ground. The picture below was taken out of our bedroom window. We watched this 8-point buck for about 30 minutes one morning. He eventually bedded back down right where he was standing. There was also a doe just off the picture on the right. Enjoy the view!

I remember those views, just without the snow and buck. And getting lost in that bathroom!
