Assemble the Angels

There has not been much talk on the blog of camp lately but for those of you that don't know, Camp Gray's wonderful staff have assembled and for the last two weeks Rebecca and the crew have been running them through all things summer camp. From behavior management to the finer points of running a quality game of capture the flag, training has been going non-stop and hence so has Rebecca. In between raising three kids, caring for her sick husband and trying to run camp things around the house have gotten a bit crazy. So, I made one call from the hospital, one call for help and everyone came! This week has been truly amazing. Women from the mom's group have been taking shifts, nine to noon and one to four each day this week. When not caring for babies, (and even while caring for babies, as seen below) they helped spruce the place up.
Amidst all the craziness, Andrew has gotten in some time with staff and time with a few of the visiting kids. Anytime is a great time for a s'more right?

Andrew and I have even tackled a few projects off his list. Most important of all was fixing one of his engines from the wooden train set.
Today our support crew was bolstered by some former staff that came back to sort through baby clothes, walk crying children to their mother( Just to clarify Mary was the one that needed mom, not Andrew and believe it or not, she did just eat before this picture was taken even though the look on her face may not show it) and in general they just pitched in and gave a helping hand wherever needed.

One of today's projects was also to do a bit more rearranging upstairs as the twins finally have grown out of sleeping in the same crib. We thought that two cribs would be sufficient but it turns out that having one downstairs has been handy for nap times so once again I put out a call. Laura, my go-to-gal in town answered the phone at five after eight this morning and I said, Laura, can you find me a crib. She just called at four o'clock and said there would be one delivered by seven tonight. It truly is amazing and heart warming to see the support. We are truly grateful for all the support. This community is a great example of love and everyone coming together to care for one another. That's what life is all about!
