Novena Prayers:
1) PRAY A ROSARY EACH DAY OF THE NOVENA
2) PRAYER FOR ASKING GRACES THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF THE SERVANT OF GOD POPE JOHN PAUL II:
O Blessed Trinity
We thank You for having graced the Church
with Pope John Paul II
and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care,
the glory of the cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Holy Spirit,
to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd,
and has shown us that holiness
is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life
and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will,
the graces we implore,
hoping that he will soon be numbered
among your saints.
Amen.
3) PRAY SPECIFICALLY FOR JEFF
Lord Jesus, though the intercession of your servant Pope John Paul II, we ask for the miraculous healing of our friend, Jeff, so that you may be glorified in the life of this faithful son of yours. We ask you to rid the cancer from his body, so that he may more effectively serve his wife, children, and Camp Gray community, and tell the world of your glorious powers.
However, if you would be more glorified by granting Jeff the graces to endure patiently and joyfully the cross of this illness and treatment, may your will be done. You have a vision that is far beyond our imagination, and we trust that you will not waste any effort of prayer made on behalf of our friend, Jeff. Thy will be done. (Matthew 26:39). Glory to you now and for ever.
